  What is in a word? Lines, curves, a sound and a meaning. Combinations of letters, groupings and feelings. A precise formulation. Calculated placings that build sentences. Rhythm carved into pages and ears. Each word has its purpose. A meaning that defines it and its relationship with others.   But what happens when the definition is blurred? Bones

There is a calm to my bones that was never there before. The involuntary repulsion that came with a compliment is gone. My bones don’t creak and my skin has stopped crawling. The weight of my limbs has lightened. My organs don’t shiver when I catch sight of myself. There is a calm to me that is new and resolved. A calm that keeps my bones in place.
